You and your baby can make new friends and hear music. Even if your child does not turn out to be a musical genius, music is a great way of developing all-round communication skills. Singing and listening to music helps with the formation of sounds and also with developing concentration and listening. Best of all it is great fun, and a good way to work off a bit of energy and feel good. Plus you can make a lot of noise! You are likely to start singing the songs at home so you and your child have more experiences to share, and in no time at all your life (and your car journeys) could be more tuneful! Classes: The range of musci classes is large, some of which you sit with your baby/child and join in with live music and songs lead by one or two teachers with instruments. In most groups there will be a part of the session when the children can get their hands on some instruments to join in. We suggest to phone the franchises and speak to them about the way in which they do their classes, how involved the children and parents can become and what benefits they know that children gain from the sessions.
