Reflexology

Aromatherapy in Pregnancy

How does it work?
Reflexology is based on the principal that you have energy pathways called Meridians flowing around your body. When these pathways and pools of energy are interrupted or become 'congested' the body needs support to heal itself. Reflexology can support the body’s healing mechanism to clear congestion which has a positive effect on how your feel, your health and your well being.

The Reflexology belief is that your feet directly mirror your body, the left side in the left foot and your right side in your right foot. Reflexologists use non-ticklish massage techniques on your feet to detect congested energy and help the body to clear it. Through this method you can see positive effects for many conditions and niggles and is particularly relaxing and beneficial when used to support you in preparing for pregnancy, during and afterwards.

Your Maternity Reflexologist willhave attended an additional course of Maternity Reflexology to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the process and Reflexology associated with boosting natural conception, infertility, pregnancy, birth and newborn babies. We feel it is important that you check your therapist has additional training in this field.
