Kick counts / Baby not moving as much as you’d like?
|

Where is your placenta? Not that we think you’ve left it on a bus somewhere, but if it’s at the front of your stomach you will have a big pillow available for the baby to punch and kick, which means you won7rsquo;t feel the baby doing it’s best Bruce Lee moves!
If you’re concerned that you are past the gestational week that one might expect to feel the baby moving, somersaulting, kicking, punching and any other forms of acrobatics.

Suggestions from The Maternity Network
- Drink cold water. Sit very still (but still remember to breathe, naturally).
- Lay on your left side and relax (babies often become active when their mother is still. ‘Active’ as in moving around in the stomach, not competing in the Under-8 rugby tournament).
Suggestions from experienced mums
- Drink a sugary drink or eat a meal. Perhaps baby needs a sugar fix!
