New mum top venues for baby feeding and baby changing
New Mum? If you’re like me, you navigate your shopping according to where you can breastfeed or change your baby, especially as it takes 2 hours to get into town and your baby is due a feed 2 hourly!!! I didn’t know where on earth to go in the first instance and have had to learn by error – here other mums share their knowledge of the local area Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire and give you the run down for what to expect when you get into the room. If you have any comments or additions please email them to Louise@thematernitynetwork.co.uk – comments are anonymous.

SLOUGH, BERKSHIRE
Mothercare, Slough – Mum and Baby Room.
“Clean, lovely colour, changing facilities, bottle warming facilities, comfy padded chairs to sit on. Make sure you don’t take anything in that you haven’t paid for – we left our items to buy behind the PAY HERE tills.”
"Two sinks, one low and one high. The changing facility is padded and they have a clean-enough bin to throw your nappies into"
READING, BERKSHIRE
M&S, Reading
“I am told is also good but not ventured that far yet!”
WINDSOR, BERKSHIRE
Ha Ha, Windsor
“Very helpful. They can seat you in a side section of the bar/restaurant and happy for b/f and great help with toddlers. The high chairs are clean and the same height as the table so toddlers can reach it easily. Their tables are not baby clean though, and the highcairs dont have attachable trays so put a muslin or travel mat down for them to eat off ”
Cafe Rouge, Windsor
“Have a side section for privacy and always very helpful”
Costa Coffee in the main street, Windsor
“Staff happy to bring hot water to your table for warming bottles”
“Have a clean changing pull down table in the loo which is relatively clean, the toilet area is also clean.”
"We knocked over our hot drinks when trying to sort our baby out, three staff decended on us with cloths, theys cleaned the floor and we have new hot drinks for free withint seconds we were sat down as if it had never happened!"
MAIDENHEAD, BERKSHIRE
Daniels Dept Store, Windsor.
“BF room with 2 rocking chairs (bit grubby but OK) and a bottle warmer - all accessed via baby change station room (not obvious if you have not been before or door to bf room is closed) plus a separate large narrow toilet”
Boots, Maidenhead.
“At the back of their store opposite the main entrance doors is the lift.”
“Pretty grubby but have a space to change baby and a plastic chair to sit on. You can close to door but make sure you don’t take goods in that you haven’t paid for”
Sainsburys Shopping store, Maidenhead
Under the escalators and past the lifts is a baby change facility. it's small but just enough room to get a buggy in/ the change area is padded and relatively clean. there are two sinks, a low one and high one. There is a partition wall with the loo the other side but it's not clean. You can lock the door though so no one can walk in or take your bags whilst you're in there so you can leave the loo door open to see your baby in their buggy too"
MARLOW, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
Costa Coffee, Marlow.
“Happy for you to bf. Changing facilities not really clean, but functional in the disabled loo”
“They’ll carry your drink up the stairs or to the back of the restaurant when you’re pregnant or when you have a baby and they’ll offer this without you asking”
Cedar Café, Marlow
“Happy to let you have a drink/food and pay at the end, rather than when ordering”
